Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a part-time position in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, working Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM with rotational Saturdays 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The role involves collecting specimens, data entry, and adhering to procedures in a fast-paced lab environment.

Candidates should have at least three years of phlebotomy experience, strong English communication, and be flexible for weekends and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime as staffing requires.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in some states.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify test orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and comply with departmental policies.
• Complete online and in-person training in a timely manner.
