Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist II in Temple, TX, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role includes specimen collection, data entry and adherence to lab procedures, with opportunities for bonus eligibility based on performance.

Requirements include a minimum of three years phlebotomy experience, strong data entry skills, and the ability to communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent is required; phlebotomy certs are preferred in some jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
• Keyboard/data entry experience
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays/on-call/overtime
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license if applicable
• High school diploma or equivalent; medical training preferred; phlebotomy certs preferred in some states

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per procedures (drug screens, biometric, insurance exams)
• Administer oral solutions per training
• Verify orders using lab systems and client communication
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, transport)
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, email)
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and statistics
• Complete online and in-person trainings timely
