Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Temple, TX, is seeking a Phlebotomist II to provide primary specimen collection and patient support in a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role requires at least three years of phlebotomy experience, data entry skills, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read, understand, and comply with policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Assist with statistics/data submission as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training completion.
