Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Metuchen, NJ, with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating weekends. The role requires phlebotomy experience and data entry skills, with competitive hourly pay.

You will collect specimens, prepare them for transport, document accurately in our lab systems, and support daily operations. English communication is required; benefits include diverse health and financial programs.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license, if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and assist with statistics when required.
