Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Venice, FL. The role runs Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Compensation starts at $21.70 per hour, with annual bonus potential based on performance.

The position supports specimen collection, patient interactions, and lab workflow in a fast-paced health care setting. Responsibilities include specimen processing, data entry, and adherence to safety and quality protocols.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and prepare for transport.
