Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Glendale, CA. The position runs Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays, 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A state phlebotomy license is required (NHA not accepted in CA). Pay range $25.80–$27.65 per hour, with potential annual bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client communication.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and documentation in a timely manner.
• Complete trainings timely.
