Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is hiring a Phlebotomist II. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with rotational weekends. A state phlebotomy license is required (CA, WA, NV license considerations noted).

Salary range is $25.80–$27.65 per hour, with bonus eligibility. Full benefits and career advancement opportunities are offered. Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, and strong data-entry skills are required.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test/client information and orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and using email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (e.g., maintenance logs, temperature logs).
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
