Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I in Glendale, CA. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational Saturday shifts 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A state phlebotomy license is required in this position.

Pay range is $24.00–$25.70 per hour, with eligibility for annual bonus and other factors. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification preferred; CA, NV, and WA require licensure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders in lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
