Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Dublin, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotational weekends. A state phlebotomy license is required in CA; NHA licenses are not accepted.

Pay range is $26.35 - $31.40 per hour, with eligibility for annual bonus based on performance. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, administering oral solutions, verifying orders, data entry, and preparing samples for transport.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Prepare and transport specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails).
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and adhere to policies.
