Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Brawley, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our team Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 12:00 pm. A state phlebotomy license is required; CA does not accept NHA licenses.

The role involves specimen collection, data entry, and processing with pay range of $19.60-$22.55 per hour and potential annual bonuses. A high school diploma is required; phlebotomy certification is preferred and one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• State phlebotomy license required; CA does not accept NHA licenses.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred or required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and confirm/verify orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
