Job Title: Phlebotomist II

Duration: 4+ Months

Location: GA_AV9_2905 Jordan Ct, Alpharetta GA 30004

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-12:30pm EST

Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients who come in, either as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.

The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.

It involves direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures, and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.

The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.

Applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or as needed based on business requirements.

Under the supervision of the area manager, perform daily activities accurately and timely, maintain a safe and professional environment, and perform specimen collection and processing duties confidently, following established practices and procedures.

Verify patient demographic information, including initials and signatures post-venipuncture, to ensure proper labeling and identification.

Maintain required records and documentation, promote a positive image, and demonstrate organizational commitment.

Job Requirements

• Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
• Adherence to all policies, procedures, dress code, and safety standards.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.
• Strong customer focus, open communication, and adaptability to change.
• Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience

• At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment.
• Experience in customer service within retail or service sectors preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
