Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Seaford, NY is hiring a Phlebotomist I for Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with rotational weekend shifts. The role includes specimen collection, data entry, and a range of lab support tasks within a patient-facing environment.

Qualifications

• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and confirm/verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments as required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, and filing.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete trainings in a timely manner.
