Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Commack, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our team on a Monday–Friday schedule, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with rotational weekends. You will collect specimens, perform drug screens and biometric screenings, and support patient services.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; medical training is preferred, and phlebotomy certification is preferred where applicable. Proficiency with lab systems and data entry is expected, and English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometrics.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders using lab technology systems and client information.
• Navigate computers and enter data accurately.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
