Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Camillus, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist I for Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM with rotational weekends. The role collects specimens, handles lab procedures, and ensures accurate data entry.

Pay range is $20.00–$21.45 per hour. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellness programs, paid time off, retirement plans, stock purchase, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify test/client information and confirm orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
