Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in North Babylon, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens on a Monday–Friday schedule with rotational weekends. The role requires accuracy, good English communication, and careful data entry.

Pay is $24.00–$24.50 per hour, with potential annual bonus and comprehensive benefits beginning Day 1 for full‑time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA/NV/WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, and email.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance records.
