Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a Phlebotomist I to accurately collect specimens for diagnostic testing in a hospital and clinic setting. You will perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swabs while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include documenting in electronic systems, adhering to PPE and safety standards, and supporting team training and on-call/holiday shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months of phlebotomy experience, phlebotomy training or national certification preferred.
• Good communication and patient care skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital and clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing using venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO and throat swabs.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Support patient registration and assist in emergency CODE response teams as needed.
• Document accurately across multiple computer systems and keep the workspace clean and safe.
