Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Murray, Utah. You will collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing in a fast-paced hospital and clinic environment, using venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab techniques.

You will work with caregivers and patients across outpatient, ED, and inpatient settings, following safety regulations, PPE requirements, and lab compliance standards. On-call shifts and holiday rotations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy training or certification preferred.
• Six months phlebotomy experience or training is preferred.
• BLS required or as per site policy.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient specimens accurately for diagnostic testing.
• Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab collections.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and safety regulations.
• Communicate procedures clearly with patients and families; show empathy.
• Navigate multiple computer systems and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Support on-call shifts and holiday rotations as needed.
