Job summary

Intermountain Health Wheat Ridge Clinic is seeking a Phlebotomist II to collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will work in a professional setting with a dynamic team, performing venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab collections across diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred and phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Twelve months of phlebotomy experience or national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing using venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swabs.
• Adhere to PPE, safety, and regulatory standards in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Communicate procedures and instructions with patients and families, showing empathy.
• Support patient registrations and CODE response teams as needed.
• Participate in specimen processing, QA, waived testing, and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain organizational skills and navigate multiple computer systems; ensure clean, safe work environment.
• Be available for on-call shifts and holiday rotations as required.
