Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Part Time Phlebotomist I in Glenview, IL. The role requires working 20 hours per week at Glenbrook Hospital, with afternoon hours Monday through Friday and rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities include performing routine and special phlebotomy procedures, ordering tests in LIS and Hospital systems, and collecting patient specimens according to test requirements while ensuring proper tubes and volumes are used.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience.
• CPR-BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required from the AHA; ASCP certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred.
• Good communication and organization skills, moderate computer skills, reliable transportation to travel between sites, strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Supervisor/Manager/Director
• Responsible for ordering tests into the Laboratory and Hospital computer systems and documenting Lab receipt of specimens
• Collect patient specimens in accordance with test requirements and in a manner which is appropriate for the age and/or specific patient population served
• Collect blood samples for specific tests ensuring volume is adequate and correct tubes are utilized
