Job summary

Edward-Elmhurst Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I at Glenbrook Hospital for part-time hours, Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm with rotating holidays. You will perform phlebotomy procedures, enter tests into laboratory systems, and collect specimens suitable for age-specific requirements across sites in Glenview, IL.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy training, CPR-BLS, and strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred.
• CPR-BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider required.
• ASCP PBT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special phlebotomy procedures as directed by supervisor.
• Order tests into Lab and Hospital computer systems and document receipt.
• Collect patient specimens appropriate for age and population served.
• Ensure sample tubes and volumes meet test requirements.
