Endeavor Health is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist II for Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This role involves venipuncture and specimen collection for all ages, with rotating weekends and holidays during a 9:30pm–6am shift.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and one year phlebotomy experience. CPR-BLS certification is required; phlebotomy certification is preferred. Benefits and growth opportunities are available.

One year phlebotomy experience required.

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary specimen collection for inpatients and outpatients of all ages.
Collect additional samples including body fluids, nasal/throat swabs, and breath samples as needed.
Operate LIS/HIS and other lab resources to support service areas.
Prepare and assist in processing blood and body fluid samples according to guidelines.
Assist in orientation and training of phlebotomy staff and students.
Address problems and notify lead/supervisors as needed; assist with inventory management.
Ensure customer requests for laboratory services are addressed in a timely manner; provide phone coverage.
