Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Trumbull, CT, Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM with rotating weekends. The role offers a pay range of $22.80 - $24.45 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collecting payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport as required.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature, etc.).
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
