Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join the Hartford, CT team. The role runs Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 10:30 AM with rotational weekends. The position offers a pay range of $21.60–$23.15 per hour and eligible performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (CA, NV and WA required).

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures and maintain logs.
• Assist with statistics/data submission when required.
