Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Bristol, CT. The role requires collecting specimens, accurately labeling, and entering data in computer systems. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotational Saturdays.

Salary ranges from $21.60 to $23.15 per hour with eligibility for annual performance bonus compensation. Benefits information is described in the posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders and client information using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately for successful processing.
• Enter billing information and collect payments following corporate policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
