Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I for Newington, CT, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with rotational weekends.

Pay range: $21.60–$23.15 per hour. Offers may include an annual bonus and are based on skills, training, experience, and certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Handle billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and assist with statistics and data submission.
