Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders in lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments per policy.
• Process and prepare specimens for transport (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing).
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitize, file, answer phones, email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
