Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Marlborough, CT is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our team. The role runs Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay range is $21.60–$23.15 per hour, with potential annual bonus based on performance.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, order verification, data entry, and maintaining phlebotomy logs. Requires high school diploma and phlebotomy certification preferred; one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm/verify orders by lab systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and keep logs up to date.
• Complete training courses timely.
