Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Avon, CT is hiring a Phlebotomist I for a Mon-Fri schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with rotational Saturdays. The role offers a $21.60–$23.15 hourly pay range and potential annual bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical training or background is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Review test/client information and verify orders via lab systems and client communications.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain ID and enter billing information, collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, prepare for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Read, follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions as needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related records timely.
• Complete training courses online and in person timely.
