Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in New Britain, CT is seeking a Phlebotomist I for a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:30 AM to 10:30 AM, with rotational weekends. The role offers hourly pay between $21.60 and $23.15, and may include eligibility for annual bonus based on performance.

High school diploma and phlebotomy training preferred. Responsibilities include specimen collection, order verification, data entry, and routine lab duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred; certification preferred in some states.
• Strong data entry and English communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screens.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify test orders and patient information using lab systems and client data.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Obtain and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitation, filing, phones, email.
• Adhere to departmental policies and participate in training.
• Contribute to statistics/data submissions and maintain logs.
