Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy, specimen prep, EKG and clerical duties in the laboratory. The role supports specimen flow, accurate labeling, and timely communication of results within the electronic medical record.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and completion of an ASPT program (or equivalent on-the-job training). Prior inpatient phlebotomy experience is preferred; strong attention to detail and teamwork

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of ASPT program or 100 hours on-the-job training in SHCTV-Tri-Valley.
• Preferred: 1 year inpatient phlebotomy experience.

Responsabilités

• Follow safety and department protocols for blood/body fluid specimens.
• Perform venipunctures, finger sticks, and pediatric heel sticks.
• Collect specimens and ensure proper labeling with patient identifiers.
• Enter collection information and routing in the computer system.
• Process orders promptly and communicate STAT issues to staff.
• Maintain clean, stocked work area and notify manager when inventory is low.
