Stanford Health Care – Tri-Valley, in Pleasanton, CA, seeks a Phlebotomist to perform venipunctures, specimen collection, EKGs, and routine clerical tasks in a hospital laboratory.

You will follow safety protocols, correctly label specimens, document collection data in the electronic record, and respond to codes as required while maintaining accuracy and patient-centered care in a busy lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of ASPT program or 100 hours on-the-job training within SHCTV - Tri-Valley preferred.
• CPT license and BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Perform venipunctures, finger sticks, and pediatric heel sticks for blood collection.
• Prepare and process specimens for testing and enter collection information into the computer system.
• Conduct EKG testing and proper lead placement as directed by physicians.
• Label specimens accurately in the presence of patients and ensure matching labels.
• Maintain an organized, clean work area and monitor inventory levels.
• Adhere to safety protocols, document results, and respond to codes per hospital procedures.
