Job summary

The role supports quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, two years of phlebotomy experience, and California CPT licensure with CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or lab setting.
• Currently licensed phlebotomist (CPT) in California; valid CPR/BLS.
• Working knowledge of EHR and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens by performing venipunctures.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and provide quality customer service.
• Verify test orders in the EHR and confirm patient identity and insurance.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control procedures.
• Document and transport specimens per lab procedures.
