Job summary

Qualifications

• Current California phlebotomy license (CPT) required.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License (Class C) required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and perform screening procedures.
• Verify test orders in the EHR and verify patient identity.
• Collect blood draws and related tests; explain procedures to patients.
• Maintain specimen integrity and clean draw-blood station; follow infection control rules.
• Dispose of contaminated sharps and transport specimens to laboratories.
