Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I in Sterling Heights, MI. The role supports specimen collection and processing, with a Monday–Friday 10:00 AM–6:30 PM schedule and periodic weekend coverage.

Strong data entry and English communication are essential to verify orders and manage billing details. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, medical training, and phlebotomy certification where required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsabilités

• Collect specimens according to procedures for drug screens and other tests.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client communications.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process and prepare specimens for transport (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing).
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
