Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Grosse Pointe, MI. The role operates Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with Every 3rd Saturday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on-site.

The position requires a high school diploma and relevant medical training; phlebotomy certification is preferred, with state requirements noted. Must communicate in English and handle specimen collection, data entry, and billing tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data; maintain phlebotomy logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
