Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in South Pasadena, FL is hiring a Phlebotomist I for a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays. The role includes phlebotomy duties, specimen processing, data entry, and routine patient support.

The position requires a high school diploma, medical training preferred, and phlebotomy certification preferred in some states. Salary starts at $20 per hour with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and client contacts.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data compilation.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
