Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Miami Beach, FL, is seeking a Phlebotomist I for a full-time role. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM with rotational weekends; pay starts around $20 per hour, with potential annual bonus eligibility.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, processing, data entry into lab systems, and maintaining logs. Requirements: high school diploma; phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA/NV/WA); one year phlebotomy and customer service experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience preferred.
• English language communication required.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders via lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read, understand and follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
