Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Miami, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens and support patient testing. The shift runs Monday through Friday with hours varying 5:30 AM to 4:30 PM and rotational weekends; pay starts around $20 per hour.

This role requires a high school diploma, medical training preferred, and phlebotomy experience. Training includes data entry, adherence to procedures, and teamwork in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in some states.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred; customer service experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and communicate with clients as needed.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain ID and handle billing information following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, sanitation, filing, phones, emails.
• Follow departmental policies and complete trainings timely.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and assist with statistics data when required.
