Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Grand Haven, MI is seeking a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens and support patient services. The role involves labeling, processing specimens, data entry, and following safety protocols in a busy lab environment.

Working Mon-Fri 8:30 AM–5:00 PM with every 3rd Saturday morning, this on-site position requires English proficiency and good customer service skills, plus a High School diploma and phlebotomy training or certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsabilités

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient-facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete training courses timely.
