Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a qualified phlebotomist to collect specimens (blood, urine, nasal swabs) under supervision. Responsibilities include patient identification, proper labeling, specimen transport, and adherence to HIPAA and safety protocols.

Position is full-time, onsite at 15 Parkman Street, with shifts Monday-Thursday 10:00–18:30 and Friday 9:00–17:30. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered; starting pay is $19.85/hour. Training occurs before regular scheduling resumes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pediatric Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Graduate of a training program that includes phlebotomy skills with demonstrated competency preferred.
• Inpatient phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood via venipuncture following policies and procedures.
• Check patient identifiers and match requisitions, labels, and IDs.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and patient safety during collection.
• Provide front desk reception/clerical support at Specimen Collection center when needed.
• Monitor patient for adverse reactions and ensure bleeding stops after collection.
