Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Laboratory team in Brandon, FL. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen processing, and clerical duties with independent performance under minimal supervision.

You will be responsible for patient identification, proper labeling, ABN handling, and coordinating specimen transport while supporting lab operations and patient care across doctor offices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification per stated programs or accreditation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with LIS systems.
• Ability to lead peers and manage priorities.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing across lab areas.
• Assist with clerical duties and patient registration as needed.
• Identify patients correctly and obtain accurate orders and diagnoses.
• Handle billing-related tasks, follow protocol for STATs, and route reports.
• Maintain accuracy in labeling, transport, and transport logistics.
• Support lab operations during supervisor absence and travel to FMC sites.
