Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and clerical duties in a fast-paced Laboratory department. The role requires proficient phlebotomy skills across pediatric and geriatric patients, accurate specimen handling, and strong computer aptitude.

The position involves front office support, processing specimens, and coordinating with Lab operations across multiple FMC locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NHA or equivalent with a 100 patient collections experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Strong computer proficiency and ability to lead others are essential.

Responsibilities

• Front Office: assist in patient registration, verify insurance, collect payments, and manage calls.
• Phlebotomy: perform phlebotomy, label specimens, prepare for transport, and ensure proper ABN handling.
• Back Office: prepare reports, handle billing entries, and transmit results to appropriate labs.
• Processing Specimens: spin down, prepare specimens for transport, and manage STATs per protocol.
• Inventory: maintain supplies, monitor levels, and place routine orders.
• Computer Utilization: operate Intergy/Flex-e Suite, print demographics, and register new patients.
• Other Related Functions: maintain clean work area, travel to FMC locations as needed, and provide excellent customer service.
