Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Laboratory team in Wesley Chapel, FL. The role requires phlebotomy and specimen processing duties, with front-office support and clerical tasks as part of daily operations.

The candidate must be able to perform venipuncture, validate orders, and interact professionally with patients and staff. Travel to FMC locations may be required; Monday through Friday schedule, 7am to 4pm, with competitive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Phlebotomy certification within six months of hire (ASCP/NPA/ASPT/NHA or equivalent).
• CPR certification required.
• MINIMUM 1 year experience required.
• Ability to lead people and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills for pediatric and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and clerical duties.
• Register patients and verify insurance information.
• Handle billing information and generate reports.
• Operate laboratory software and ensure proper data entry.
• Travel to FMC work locations as needed (Zephyrhills, Dade City, Land O’ Lakes, Wesley Chapel, Tampa, Brandon).
• Maintain clean work area and comply with policies and procedures.
• Provide services for doctor’s offices and lab results.
