Job summary

Froedtert Health seeks a phlebotomist at our Milwaukee hospital facility. The role involves performing phlebotomy and supporting technical, non-technical, and clerical tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment. Shift is 3rd with 40-hour work week, on-site.

Candidate should have completed a recognized phlebotomy program or related healthcare experience with patient contact; ASCP certification is a plus. Benefits include PTO, tuition assistance, and robust health plans.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Phlebotomy program or related health care experience including direct patient contact is required.
• Phlebotomy experience with a minimum of 100 venipunctures is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• ASCP certification is preferred.

Shift Details: 2200-0630, 5 shifts per week with every other weekend rotation, also includes on call and holiday rotation.

Job Summary: Responsible for performing phlebotomy and various technical, non technical, and clerical functions.

EXPERIENCE: Completion of an approved Phlebotomy program or related health care experience including direct patient contact is required. Phlebotomy experience with a minimum of 100 venipunctures is preferred.

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

LICENSURE: ASCP certification is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to read and write necessary to comprehend and follow equipment operating instructions, IFUs and complete required documentation. Basic arithmetic calculations necessary to count instruments and complete count sheets are required. Basic computer, problem-solving and good communication skills are required.
