Job summary

Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join our on-site team. You will perform phlebotomy and related duties in a medical setting, with an emphasis on accuracy, courtesy, and safety.

The ideal candidate has completed an approved phlebotomy program or related healthcare experience, and may have 100+ venipunctures. High school diploma preferred; ASCP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Phlebotomy program or related health care experience including direct patient contact is required.
• Phlebotomy experience with a minimum of 100 venipunctures is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Shift Details:

0400-0800, 5 shifts per week with every other weekend rotation, also includes on call and holiday rotation.

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing phlebotomy and various technical, non technical, and clerical functions.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

Completion of an approved Phlebotomy program or related health care experience including direct patient contact is required. Phlebotomy experience with a minimum of 100 venipunctures is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Ability to read and write necessary to comprehend and follow equipment operating instructions, IFUs and complete required documentation. Basic arithmetic calculations necessary to count instruments and complete count sheets are required. Basic computer, problem-solving and good communication skills are required.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

ASCP certification is preferred.
