Qualifications

• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric and geriatric collections.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Verify patient demographics and tube labeling post-venipuncture for accuracy.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Work under supervision, perform duties across Doctor's offices or patient service centers as needed.
• Travel to multiple locations and cover at patient service centers with minimal notice.
