Job description

Our client, a Medical Research company, is seeking a Phlebotomist Floater for their Springfield, VA location.

Responsibilities:

1. Represent the company to patients by drawing blood samples, providing a professional and reassuring presence.
2. Collect quality blood specimens and prepare them for lab testing following established procedures.
3. Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring a safe, accurate, and comfortable experience.
4. Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
5. Perform daily activities accurately under supervision, maintain a safe environment, and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Medical assistant or paramedic training.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy certification.
• At least 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred: 3+ years in a PSC/IOP environment.
• Experience in customer service in retail or service settings is a plus.
• Proficiency in keyboard/data entry is required.
