The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Imperial, CA and surrounding areas. The role may float to Brawley and Calexico, with a schedule from early morning to early evening on weekdays and a duration of about 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Requirements include 6 months of venipuncture experience, a valid phlebotomy certification for the state, High School Diploma or GED, and comfort with MS Office.

Formación

• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• 5–7 years of experience stated in the posting.

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, maintain data and decontamination, and update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly to patients in a courteous manner.
• Demonstrate techniques with straight and butterfly needles per physician orders.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze as required.
• Check test requisitions against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy; package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens at required temperatures, label correctly, and ensure transport integrity.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and relay laboratory results as needed.
