Accounting Search is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Imperial, CA and surrounding areas. The position is float-based, with hours typically 6AM–6PM, Monday to Friday, and potential for permanent placement after the contract period.

Mileage expenses are paid and a valid phlebotomy certification is required. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate patient data while complying with OSHA/DEP regulations.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles and follow physician orders.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and prepare samples for testing.
• Check test requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy and package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and label containers correctly for transport.
• Attend OSHA/DEP trainings and comply with applicable regulations.
• Answer phone calls and relay or read lab results as needed.
