Formación

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles and follow physician orders.
• Match requisitions to tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze as required.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure transport integrity.
